Fire Glass

Fire Protection Glass

Fire-proof glass: This facade glass design is its main task is to insulate fire and smoke and the protection of people both indoors and outdoors. The fireproof facade elements consist of fire-resistant glass (gel-filled laminated glass or an inner layer of sodium silicate hydrate) and an aluminum or steel profile. Externally, fireproof translucent structures are no different from ordinary glass, but they are more complex in their structural content. Thanks to its design features, fire-resistant glass prevents the spread of fire and can withstand high temperatures for up to 120 minutes without cutting or releasing fire.

Fire Resistant Glass Types

Liquid Glass Filled Multilayer

It consists of layers of tempered glass containing two or more layers of liquid glass (sodium silicate hydrate). When heated, liquid glass foams and hardens, losing its transparency. This layer holds the cracked outer glass and prevents the entire structure from being destroyed.

Gel Filled Laminated

It consists of two or more layers of tempered glass with a layer of gel between them. With the effect of high temperatures, moisture evaporates from the gel and hardens, forming a reliable thermal insulation layer. The more glass layers, the higher the product's fire resistance class and the longer it can withstand fire.

Properties of Fire Glasses

Modular fire glasses increase fire resistance. It plays an important role and acts as a reliable barrier against the spread of fire building and combustion products in case of fire danger. If you use a simple aluminum profile, in case of fire the frame will begin to deteriorate 15 minutes after a strong ignition. For this reason, specially prepared steel-bodied aluminum frames are used for fire protection glasses. It guarantees the strength and protection of the structure. From the inside of the frame, all internal voids are filled with modern refractory composition. Place the stainless steel corners under the beads. In addition, solid steel cast products can be used here. These framed metal structures reliably localize the fire threat, protect evacuation routes. By installing them, you can isolate fire compartments in many rooms, as well as windows, galleries, etc.
